E&O insurance is a type of professional liability insurance that protects businesses, their employees and other professionals from claims of poor workmanship or negligence. For example, it could help you if you are accused of making mistakes or failing to meet deadlines at work, failing to deliver a service or missing deadlines, professional negligence or failure to meet a standard of care or breach of contract. In addition, if a company provides services to a customer for a fee, it is common to obtain E&O insurance.
